Yangon or Mawlamyine to Dawei

Intercity Bus
Tickets to Dawei can be purchased directly from Yangon or Mawlamyine bus stattions.
Yangon to Dawei – cost circa $14
Mawlamyine to Dawei – cost circa $9

you can catch the train from Yangon to Ye however after Ye the tracks deteriorate to the point where we genuinly believe that the YE TO DAWEI TRAIN IS THE SLOWEST IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. and a true adventure in itself

Daily flights depart from Yangon.
Yangon to Dawei – cost $70

Bangkok to Dawei
As of the 28th of August 2013 the overland border opened to those with a valid Myanmar visa. From the Kanchanaburi bus station catch the Phu Nam Rom border. From there catch the minivan to Dawei.
Kanchanaburi to Phu nam Ron – cost 70 Bhat
Tee Khee to Dawei – cost 800 Bhat

Dawei to Myeik
Intercity Bus
travels dayily, road is in poor condition.
Cost $8

Ferry Boat
Speadboat, availability is weather dependand particually in the monsson season
Cost $20-25 varies on opperator

Dalily flights
Cost $60

Myeik to Kawthaung
Unfortunately overland travel in this area is still restricted to those who have prior permission from the Myanmar Government, currently speedboat ferry and flights are your only option. We recommend the speedboat as you got some beautiful views of the islands.
